Family is a space for children where they gets their identity, love, support, social protection, etc. Family is very important for mental well being of the children. Family is also first school of a child. Children raised in family shows better physical, itellectual and developmental outcomes. When children are in families, they do not age out of care. They remain connected to their parents, siblings, and community and have a social support network. Developing identity and strong sense of belongings is important for overall well being, which only is provided by family based care.
